Logistics and Shop Manager

Summary:

This position is responsible for the key accountabilities of:

  • Equipment Management

  • Material Management

  • Shop Management

  • DOT Management

  • Logistics Support

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following with potential for other duties assigned.

Equipment Management

  • Trains employees on proper care and maintenance of equipment and appropriate tool use and storage.

  • Cleans, maintains, and tracks CCS-owned equipment stored in shop. 

  • Fixes broken tools when possible or sends tools out for more comprehensive repairs; tracks repairs and completes required paperwork.

  • Manages company fleet.

Material Management

  • Inventories and stocks all jobsite trailers with Superintendent prior to mobilization between projects and corroborates with Operations Director to ensure appropriate materials and supplies are loaded according to each project’s specifications.

  • Updates overall inventory records of materials, supplies, tools, and company-owned equipment using equipment inventory software.

Shop Management

  • Cleans, maintains, and organizes the shop.

  • Manages Min/Max shop inventory.

DOT Management

  • Coordinates, schedules, and logs maintenance for all vehicles and trailers in the Company fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, and annual DOT inspections. Ensures DOT logbook compliance with all staff.

  • Manage company DOT registration and State compliance where conducting business.

Logistics Support

  • Loads and unloads materials, equipment, tools, and supplies at the shop, external storage locations, and jobsites. 

  • Attends all internal pre-job meetings to stay apprised of upcoming projects; communicates any possible issues and offers solutions. 

  • Assists the project teams unloading and organizing deliveries of personal protective equipment, delivering safety equipment to jobsites as directed, and inspecting all equipment for safe and proper functionality prior to mobilization or storage.

  • Assists executive team with any shipping needs. 

  • Coordinates all equipment orders with the Operations Director to ensure the right equipment is on each jobsite at the right time.

  • Communicates regularly with jobsite superintendents and executive team regarding upcoming travel to accommodate any specific needs.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel

  • Potential 50% of the time with overnight stays.

  • Day trips to sites.

  • Trade shows, as needed.

  • Off-site training opportunities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Driver's License, DOT medical card.

Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
